Laboratories

In order to ensure high quality practical capacity of graduates, the department operates laboratories which are used by students for performing experiments. These are the High Voltage, Power and Electronics laboratories.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (HIGH VOLTAGE & POWER) LABORATORIES

Here, experiments on the operating characteristics of electrical machines such as induction motors and d.c and synchronous motors and generators are performed. Experiments on applied electricity and engineering technology  as well as other associated courses are performed in this laboratory.

ELECTRONICS LABORATORIES

This is where experiments on basic, linear and power electronics are performed. The technology used is a product of Degem Systems and is of very high quality. Other experiments conducted here include topics on Digital Systems, Microprocessors and Control Systems. The electronics laboratory serves students from the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department and the Computer Engineering Department. The laboratory is run by Rose Frimpong (Mrs.), a Senior Technician of the College.
